So for the past month, Clark has been in training for his new job! And the best part about training is he has awesome hours!!! He gets home most nights around 6pm! For an investment banker that's like Christmas.It works out perfectly too, because I had a two week temp position that got me home around 6 as well. So with all those extra day-light hours, we've had some pretty fun adventures out here. Check it out :)
^One of our first nights back in NY we went for a walk around Central Park! We especially love the area around the lake^
^It almost looks like a castle!^
^On our walk through the park we were able to listen to a Neon Trees concert that was going on nearby! And to top off our awesome evening we saw hundreds of fireflies!!! I don't know if you can see any in this picture, but I promise there were tons of them^
^A few days later, Clark's dad came out to visit us! We loved having him visit for us a couple days. So on his first day with us, we went on one of our favorite dates - walk across the Brooklyn Bridge to get Grimaldi's^

^Yummy Grimaldi's Pizza! Haha right after dinner there, we tried Juliana's pizza...and Juliana's was definitely better! So next time we'll do a Juliana's date ;) ^
^And we had the most gorgeous sunset! Ah! It was a perfect evening^
^A few days later Lauren and I went to Washington Square Park! I had never made it down last summer, and boy do I regret that! The village is such a fun area. And the Washington Arch is so neat. Like a mini Arc de Triomphe^
^And haha we learned that you're not always guaranteed a good picture if you hand your camera to a tourist with a good camera around their neck. As in, they may just cut off the entire Washington Arch when you ask them to take a picture of you with the arch... ^
^So then you have to take a blurry selfie to make up for it ;) ^
^And on our walk home, we met this lady with the CUTEST puppy ever. I was dying. Haha and she could tell I was in love with her dog and took like 15 pictures us and her dog. It was awesome.^
^Sorry I can't remember exact days, but at some point I went to the Met with Camille and Alex. This museum will never get old! Honestly I find a new exhibit every time I go through. This time we found a neat Japanese courtyard!^
^And we had to visit the impressionists. And my favorite painting by Van Gogh^
^They had some incredible new pointillism pieces as well!^
^Another amazing surprise was stumbling across this Chuck Close masterpiece! He has the coolest technique!^
^I don't even understand how he makes these dots look exactly like a person right away^
^Also this deer was super neat!^
^And haha on the way home from the museum I stumbled across a puppy store! I've been begging poor Clark for a puppy forever and seeing all the cute little dogs in NY certainly make it harder not to want one! ^
^And I'm obsessed with maiden hair ferns^
^Another random adventure - Wafel's and Dinges waffle ice-cream sandwich. Get the cookie butter ice cream with it. AMAZING^
^And at the Rockefeller Center there is a GIANT Jeff Koons statue...That resembles some sort of Yoshi character. It's cool!^
^Another really fun date we went on was going to watch the New York Philharmonic Orchestra perform in Central Park with all the couples out here this summer. Although we were a little too far away to hear the music well (and probably a bit too noisy) it was such a wonderful night! We brought a picnic dinner and afterwards we all walked through the park and visited. It was a wonderful evening.^
^And we went to a free movie (back to the future) at Riverside park with our friends Mikey and Kalan! I love all the free movies around NYC during the summer.^
^We also went to the Chelsea Market to get doughnuts from Doughnuttery with the Crawley's. And we walked the highline park afterwards. I am so grateful for all the amazing friends we have made because of this New York adventure.

^Sunsets in the city sure are gorgeous. We are so happy to be out in New York! I can't believe it's already been a month since we moved out here. On the one hand, it feels like we've been out here forever, but on the other we feel so new to this amazing city! We still have so much to see and do out here.
