Memorial Weekend at New Brighton

We had such an amazing Memorial Day Weekend! To begin our fun we drove down Berkley for my little brother David's All Star Rugby game. It was incredible!! Even though Sac Valley's all star team got trashed by the Bay Area Team, David was incredible. It was so fun to watch him just dominate on the field!

^Look at him all cool.. PS - That's not the score of his game. The varsity girl's game started up just after his game ended.^

^I'm sad I didn't get too many action shots. But it was still great.^

^We loved exploring Berkley's campus too! It really is beautiful^

^It was fun having William come along with us to explore before David's game^

^We had to rub BYU Rugby's win in Cal's face a little bit^

Then we made our way to New Brighton Beach in Santa Cruz for the weekend. My family has gone camping at New Brighton every year for Memorial Day for as long as I can remember. It's one of my favorite traditions. Unfortunately this year they only allowed 8 people per campsite (umm my family has 9 people in it), so we had to "camp" at the nearby Best Western and just visit for campfire. It was still amazing. Hopefully next year Clark and I will be able to really camp!

^One of my favorite beaches! Unfortunately this trip there was a lot of seaweed. But it was still marvelous!^

^This little monkey was all about digging the biggest hole on the beach. And designing lots of little sand villages. I think he will be an architect eventually^

^This little monkey can find the beauty in anything. Even an old dried up piece of seaweed!^

^Football, rugby, skipping stones, and a new clapping catch game were their favorites this trip^

^Day two: These explorers tried to climb every tree at the campsite^

^We saw sea otters (pictured above), seal lions, and dolphins this trip!^

^It was really bright. And Clark stole my mom's sunhat.^

^Andrew was bummed that the cousins left him to work on a giant "spa"^

^The cousins with the completed "spa"^

^Campfire! We all had a blast singing camp songs and roasting marshmallows. This trip we tried roasting a marshmallow between two "Coconut Delight" Girl's Scout cookies. DELICIOUS^

^Love these two ladies!^

^Day 3: another day at the beach! These two little girls loved having me drag them into the waves!^

^I've got such amazing parents^

^I can't believe Emy goes to Texas so soon. They sure are getting one amazing girl. I'm going to miss her oodles. ^

And that completes our amazing weekend!

Sibling Shows and Sunny California

One of the best parts of being home in between graduating and moving to New York has been the family time. We have been lucky enough to catch so many of our sibling's end of the year school shows and choir performances. And soon enough we will be able to see Anne's Showbiz show and Brie's dance recital. You could say we are trying to stock up on sibling events before we move to NY and aren't able to see anything.

To start us off we got to see Andrew's Elementary School play "Wonderland", a goofy musical adaptation of Through the Looking Glass.
^Andrew gave a brilliant performance as "The Catcher"^

^Bonus: Carter (Clark's cousin) was starring as the Red King in the very same show!^

^Our next sibling show took us to beautiful Napa Valley to watch Anne's choir compete in the Golden State Choir competition.^

^Anne in the Chamber Choir!^

^And bonus again! We got to watch my cousin Maryn's choir perform too!^

^Concert Choir. San Ramon (Anne) won 2nd in Chamber singers, and tied with Monte Vista (Maryn) for first in Concert! It was incredible!^

^Extra Bonus: we got to explore around Napa after watching the performances. Napa is GORGEOUS!^

^This view was so lovely that CLARK pulled us over so I could take a picture of it. ^

^While exploring we found this, and decided to check it out.^

^It did not disappoint.^

^This castle was modeled after Tuscan castles. I certainly felt like we were in Italy for a moment!^

^Amazing view^

^At the castle they had some emus. Now I have an ostrich phobia...and I found it extends to all creepy looking large birds.^

^Clark was much less scared of the emu^

^Evil evil bird^

^Back to the happy vineyards and gorgeous castle grounds^

^The next performance took us to a tropical jungle to see "Rumpus in the Rainforest" starring Brie the Boa^

^Cutest little snake we've ever seen!^

^Such a fun show! We are so happy we've been able to show support at so many of my siblings' events. I'm going to miss being able to see all my sibs' shows/games^
