Aside from being incredibly busy with school stuff, life has been great! The leaves are changing colors (which means I'll take some fall leaf pictures soon), the air is a little crisp, and I've already started decorating for Halloween! AND the last weekend in September was super fun. Here's what we did:
My friend Jani, works at this super cool PR firm, and they were invited to attend the American Cancer Society's annual Hope Gala. Because both our husbands were busy that evening, I got to be her date! It was so fun! We had fancy hors d'oeuvres (the best was either the crab stuffed cherry tomatoes or the southwestern chicken and guacamole), got to watch a live auction with a legit auctioneer, and had a fancy sit down dinner! AND the dessert was a salted caramel gelato with fudge sauce, a brownie, and berries. My favorite part of the evening was the paddle raise. Now the Gala was held to help raise money for a Hope Lodge in Salt Lake City. It's a home for cancer patients, and their families, to live in while undergoing treatment. The paddle raise was held after the program about the Hope Lodge, and people were asked to raise their bidding cards to donate. That evening the American Cancer Society raised over $400 thousand! I was so touched by everyone's generosity.

Then the Peterson's came to town! SO FUN! We hadn't seen Spencer and Mckennna in ages. Anyways, they came to town for Clark's cousin's wedding! Boy do those Peterson's know how to put on a party! We had so much fun chatting with all the cousins. And I got to meet a few new ones! McCall and Cory's wedding was incredible. The sealing was so touching, the luncheon was so fun, and the reception was unbelievably gorgeous. The weekend was dedicated to Peterson Family fun. Check it out:
