Art, Movies, Ice, and Games!

What on earth could all those things mean? How could they possibly be related? Well, ^that's exactly what we did this weekend. And unlike my post title, our weekend was pretty great, and very action packed!

Thursday:
Thursday has adopted somewhat of a Friday night feel for Clark and I cause we both don't work or have class Fridays. This particular Thursday we went to the Sacred Gifts exhibit at the BYU Museum of Art with the Crawley's and the O'Brien's. After the MOA we went to the BYU Creamery for ice cream. Recommendation: try Whoosh Cecil! It's chocolate, salted caramel, and cashew! And they have a coconut/chocolate swirl flavor that was pretty outstanding. And then we watched Sherlock. Boy had we waited a long time for that new episode to come out. Although it wasn't my favorite episode, it was certainly excited to see all those characters again! All in all - a great night, and an awesome start to our weekend.

^My favorite Frans Schwartz painting from the exhibit: The Mocking of Christ^

^I love so many Carl Bloch paintings, but I felt this one, "Let the Little Children Come Unto Me", was especially beautiful ^

^Heinrich Hofmann's painting of Christ. He had a sweet testimony about this painting. The painting hung in his studio for many years and was a constant reminder of living a life in alignment with Christ's commandments. ^

Friday:
I had a pretty interesting experience on Friday. I got my blood drawn for the first time! After receiving doctor's orders for it in August, I finally made my way over to the Student Health Center. Haha I figured out why I had been hesitating to go for so long! I totally fainted! Not while getting my blood drawn, or when they put the needle in, I was totally fine for all that. But afterwards when I started thinking about it I got really dizzy and fainted! Luckily Clark was there to catch me and the nurses helped me recover. The funniest part was I had "Counting Stars" by One Republic stuck in my head. Pretty appropriate right? Anyways, the rest of my Friday was pretty awesome. We went out to dinner, had a mini game night and then watched Captain Phillips! So good!

Saturday:
The only day of our weekend I actually took pictures of! But Saturday night we went to the Fire & Ice event the Riverwoods. It was super chilly, but very pretty and very cool (haha puns!). All the ice sculptures were incredible, and they had some fun fire dances. After the Riverwoods we went to the BYU game and BOO YA we won!!!!!!!!!! It was awesome! Talk about a come back :) a much much more exciting game than the Superbowl... Speaking of, my favorite commercial was the puppy & horse one! I also liked the Ellen as Goldilocks :) what were your favorites?

Ps - these are the only pictures I took, so check them out!

^got to love photobooth pictures!^
